I serve as a senior associate dean, tenured professor of anesthesiology and director of the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/ahwendowment.org\/\">Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin Endowment<\/a>\u201d at the Medical College of Wisconsin. I am also a professor of anesthesiology and health policy at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vumc.org\/health-policy\/person\/jesse-ehrenfeld-md-mph\">Vanderbilt University<\/a> in Nashville, Tennessee.<\/p>\n<p>I divide my time among clinical practice, teaching, research, and directing a $560-million statewide health philanthropy. I also have an appointment as an adjunct professor of surgery at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Md., serve as a consultant to the World Health Organization Digital Health Technical Advisory Group and have served as special advisor to the 20th U.S. Surgeon General.<\/p>\n<p>Since my first year of medical school, I have been committed to working hard to advance the interests of our patients, our practices, and the field of medicine through advocacy, teaching, and the conduct of research.
